For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country. With five locations in New Jersey, First Choice serves women experiencing, or at-risk for, an unplanned pregnancy. Free and confidential services include pregnancy tests, nursing assessments, confirmation of pregnancy via ultrasound, STI screening and counseling. In addition to the services provided at our five centers, First Choice is actively involved in helping high school and middle school students make informed decisions about their sexual health and activity. Through the Real Talk Sexual Risk Avoidance initiative, we reach approximately 8,000 students each year.

Teen Challenge New England & New Jersey (Teen Challenge) was one of the first Teen Challenge ministries founded in the United States.  Teen Challenge provides life-changing residential recovery programs utilizing a faith-filled approach for helping drug addicts and alcoholics transform their lives. More than 400 adult men and women can be cared for in the Teen Challenge homes.
